Road trip to the North of the North

Back in 2005 we did a road trip around Iceland but never went to the Westfjords back then. This summer we went to visit some friends in Ísafjörður and this is all we found on our way there.

Days before our road trip to the Westfjords (or Vestfirðir in fun Icelandic) and hours before the Chic concert we went to Seltún, an absolutely stunning and stinky and bubbly place very near to Reykjavík.

These pictures are from my first day in Iceland last July, where I saw the sun for the first and maybe last time in the city and the flowers had some shadow, ate one and a half hot dog and one and a half ice cream next to a half broken car, and walked around Reykjavík holding a leek.

A stop in hell

We stopped home for a week between trips and as usually in Sevilla the temperature was very similar to that in hell. But fun, it was summer after all.

Barcelonian days

I also went to Barcelona this summer. It's always a bit weird going to a place where you've lived for a while, so familiar and so completely unknown at the same time. I met old IRC friends, stayed at Bea and Albert's beautiful beautiful place and hanged out in Café Cometa with my ghost boyfriend.

The busiest Roman holiday ever

Some of the stops this summer was Rome where I took care of six American kids. I was extremely busy all the time preventing them from getting lost in Roman crowds, getting hit by Roman cars or falling down from some old Roman rocks. I was of course also busy eating Roman pasta and Roman pizza and Roman ice-cream every single day, so I didn't have time to take many pictures. Here are some of them.

I've been to endless places this summer and today I got two rolls of film developed with really really random pictures. These are different greens from our road trip around Spain. 

Spotify monthly puzzles

It's September already and yesterday I published my August playlist in Spotify. Every last day of the month I select 18 songs from a usually way much longer list of what I've been listening to. I've been making cassette mixtapes since I was 9, so putting all those pieces together, matching endings and beginnings of songs, and trying to make the first four covers look good together are things I pretty much enjoy doing. 

Some other non-monthly playlists:

· Too short too nice songs - Usually when I like a song and it's too short I feel sad when it finishes, so I decided to put together lots of those short nice songs so the sadness would be a bit more bearable.

· I can't - I can't stand, I can't wait, I can't hold it, I can't help it, and some other songs of desperate lyrics from people that can't do stuff.

· JFMAMJJASOND - A song with the name of the month on the title for every month of the year.

· Fire/desire - Songs with the laziest rhyme ever.
